Esterlin Moronta Community Project

This past Monday, May 8, as part of my community project I decided to go help “God’s Army Ministries of NJ which is located at the Perth Amboy YMCA.

  God’s Army Ministries of NJ is the partnership with Raritan Bay Area YMCA is a non- profit organization which serves the homeless in the City of Perth Amboy and other areas as well. The YMCA has a very clear and concise mission statement. Their mission is 'to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.' Also, there are more than 2, 500 YMCAs; they can meet the health and social service needs of 18. Consequently, each YMCA is diverse to these changing needs. The YMCA in your group may offer youngster care or teenager administration clubs. In the following town over, swimming lessons or drawing lessons might be of greater concern. Each Y settles on their choices gave the requirements of the group around them.

      Also, along with God’s Army Ministries of NJ, provide the sustainable resource to the youth of the community, also give thorough comprehensive administrations that will help people and families encountering emergencies as well as homelessness with their medicinal, social, otherworldly, and passionate necessities. Since 1912, the Raritan Bay Area YMCA has been contacting those needing cover in Perth Amboy and the encompassing groups. Today, cooperating with God's Army Ministries and other group organizations, the Center for Support, Success, and Prosperity helps people and families to beat homelessness and domestic violence. At the Y, we trust the craving to have a place and aid other people is human instinct because everybody has something of significant worth to add to more extended benefit. We fill in as an impetus for constructive change in Perth Amboy, uniting individuals and giving them chances to have a major effect on the lives of others and their lives.

At the Center for Support, Success and Prosperity they attempt to:
· Increment connections by building a feeling of trust, interfacing families and people to group assets, and route of confounded administrative administration frameworks.

·  To help families and people with social enthusiastic prosperity by giving complete administrations and guiding referrals as required.

Community Service is important for many reasons. Taking part and volunteering teaches compassion and understanding. One of my things about community service is that there are opportunities and choices right I your very neighborhood. You can volunteer for something you really believe and have an interest in, and can volunteer as much or as little as you’d like or have time for.

So, my community service was to help the God’s Army Ministries to:
- Organizes files of different cases.
* Alphabetical order and by boxes
- Label other files (Spanish and English)
- Assisted with the case management services.
* Help the elderly homeless clients.

            Overall it was an amazing experience because it was my first time doing community services based on something that I always wanted to do; help the homeless. This was such a wonderful feeling which I would never forget. Also, I had learned a lot from this fantastic community services which now I understand how homeless cases are taken care off and the benefits the city and gov’t can provide for them.
